My Name is Karim, a supply chain professional with 10 years’ experience in the field working for successful international companies. I took the time to summerize my knowledge and create this course to teach all you need to know about supply chain management.
In this course, I will teach you the foundations of Supply Chain Management.
This course contains 10 chapter.
In the first chapter (What is Supply Chain Management?), I will explain what is Supply chain management, and what are the key issues facing every Supply Chain.
In the second chapter (Procurement Operations), I will explain the replenishment process and introduce you to VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) and CPFR (Collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment. Also, a presentation of the bullwhip effect.
In the third chapter (Manufacturing Operations), I’ll be talking about Production management, Inventory management methods (ABC, Re-order point…etc.), and planning operations (MRP and DRP).
In the fourth chapter, I will be talking about warehouse management. I will explain the different warehouse areas, and different storage methods (Included a real-life example of Pixmania ecommerce warehouse).
In the fifth chapter (Distribution in Supply chain), I will introduce you to distribution operations in supply chain, the distribution networks, and network optimization.
In the sixth chapter, I will teach you the importance of transport in supply chain, the costs associated with transport, and the transport constraints.
In the seventh chapter (International Supply Chain – Incoterms), I will teach you all you need to know about Incoterms.
In the eighth chapter (Supply Chain tools), I will introduce you to two tools used in the industry: ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and WMS (Warehouse management Systems).
In the Nineth chapter (Key Performance Indicators), I have shortlisted 10 key performance indicators frequently used in the industry.
In the last chapter, I will teach you the Supply Chain strategies. I will highlight why a supply chain strategy is so important for every business. I will also speak about reverse logistics and outsourcing.
