What is a technical drawing?

This is an image of clothing on a plane with a detail drawing of a silhouette, structural lines, details, design elements, stitches, accessories. Such a drawing often shows the texture or print of the fabric.

Technical drawing is not only a guide for production. It can become an inspiration for your future collection, an idea for creativity and finding your own unique style in illustrations or design. When you draw clothes, you understand the cut, the material, feel the design better, experiment with color.

In this designer’s course, I offer unordinary methods of technical drawing design.

We will learn how to present simple shapes (dresses, jackets, trench coats), models with pleats and draperies, work with textures and prints. After the course, you will be able to visualize any of your ideas and create collections “on paper”. This will make the work with the production or the customer much easier. In addition, drawing develops visual experience and creativity, and you will get true pleasure from the process.

If you don’t have skills in painting, drawing, designing or modeling clothes, this course can be an introductory part! As for tools and materials, you can do with just white paper, a ruler and a pencil, or you can try markers and paints.

I hope this course will be the beginning of a great creative journey for you! Join us!
